Summary: Love never dies, but life fades away. 

Once upon a time, far away from the hustle and the bustle of the big city, there was a wide and bushy forest. 

Inside the forest, there was a male little vampire named Severus, lived alone in a huge but dark house. Although he was a vampire, he hated drinking blood. Therefore, he was afraid of the blazing sunshine and always kept his house without any sunlight.

One day, in a freezing snowy wintertime, with the sky full of clouds, Severus was too lonely to stay in the empty house, so he decided to take a walk in the forest. The forest was covered with heavy white snow because it had a strong snowstorm last night. 

While Severus was walking passed a tree with broken branches, he saw a nest was almost buried by the snow. He immediately picked up the nest and then noticed that there was a little bird inside of it. The little bird was so tiny and fragile, so Severus took off his coat to keep the little bird warm and quickly rushed back to his house.

After the little bird was getting better, to show its gratitude, the little bird started to sing beautifully for Severus. However, it was too lonely to the little bird kept staying in the dark house without any sunlight. So the little bird started to sing sadly. Severus heard that and then realized that he couldn’t always keep the little bird stay with him. Thus, he resolved to set the little bird free.

Since then, every year in the cloudy snowy winter, the little bird will came back to meet Severus and sing for him. Severus was really happy to see his only friend even only once a year. The time gone by and the little vampire grew up.

One year, at the same wintertime, Severus was waiting for the little bird as always. From sunset to sunrise, however, the little bird didn’t come. Severus was so worried and finally plucked up the courage to go out the house. 

Although the sunshine outside the house hurt him a lot and made him painful, he still ran straightforward into the forest to find his friend. He ran and ran and then stopped in front of the tree where he saved and met the little bird. Under the tree, there was a little bird lying on the pure white snow without any breath. At that moment, Severus realized the short period of time to him is the whole life of the little bird. The life of his only best friend was running out.

Severus was so desperate with this fact. From that time, he not only hates the sunny day but also the snowy day. Every time, he sees the snow, he recalls his dear friend. Finally, he couldn’t stand it anymore that he used his magical power to keep the snow away from this area forever and hide himself away.

However, things that he doesn’t know is, after he left, the spirit of the little bird stays. Actually, before the little bird died, every year, the little bird flies far away from the forest to find other birds and invite them to come to the forest to sing for Severus and also asking them to guard him when it left. After the little bird died, many birds had promised the little bird that they will come here to sing for Severus all came and stayed.

They stay here from generation to generation to guard this precious place where the little bird and Severus met each other. As long as they keep singing, the love and spirit of the little bird will never dies.
